Sacred Elephant is coming to New York City in September 2013!

Sacred-Elephant-poster2Residents (and September visitors) of New York City – you are soooo lucky! It is sure to be an unforgettable theatrical experience.

Sacred Elephant, the beautifully lyrical and heart-stirring dramatic monologue by Heathcote Williams that has been transformed into a one-man stage play by director Geoffrey Hyland and talented actor Jeremy Crutchley, is coming to New York City.

It will be running at La MaMa’s, The First FloorTheatre, located at 74 East 4th Street, New York, NY 10003, from 4 to 22 September 2013.

Do not miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Sacred-Elephant-poster1I was lucky enough to see the play during its first run at the aptly named Intimate Theatre at Hiddingh Hall campus in Cape Town, and wrote about this profoundly moving experience on my blog: Magnificent Sacred Elephant: Jeremy Crutchley brings Heathcote Williams’ epic poem to life at the Intimate Theatre.

If you need any further persuasion to see this play, have a look at the excellent interviews with director Geoffrey and actor Jeremy at this link: Sacred Elephant Play – Videos.

And for those of you who like to follow social media, check out the Facebook pages of Jeremy Crutchley and of Sacred Elephant for some behind-the-scenes and up-to-date information and pictures.

Hurry – go and buy your tickets now.

I wish I could be in New York to see this play again. You guys are so lucky!

    • Oh yes, Kathy, PLEASE tell her. I really hope she can go and see the show – I’m certain that she will find it very powerful and moving. Is there any chance that you can ‘nip down’ to NYC? 😉

      • Oh wouldn’t THAT be lovely? I’ve looked at prices and they’re reasonable. But there are some other family issues going on, so it probably won’t happen. But you never know!

      • Oh dear, I am sorry to hear that, Kathy. But I shall hold thumbs that everything will be sorted out, so that you can attend one of Jeremy’s riveting performances.

I'd love to hear your views
