Yep, two recent articles I wrote have appeared in the People’s Post and on the Reserve Force Division website.
The People’s Post is a weekly community newspaper, of which several editions are published around the Cape Peninsula, with content tailored to the different neighbourhoods. The Reserve Force Division is part of the South African National Defence Force, and they have published a couple of my articles on their website since last year.
OK, the two in the People’s Post have been edited – and considerably shortened – and my name does not appear under them, but I am thrilled nonetheless. But the ones on the RF Division website have my name on them!
Here’s the one about the School Holiday Youth Development Program that was held at the Castle in the October 2011 holidays:

And here’s the one about the Marching Drill Festival at Vygieskraal Stadium in mid-October 2011:

Pretty cool, eh?
Congratulations, Reggie! How very cool. π
It is, isn’t it? It’s such a thrill to see one’s name in print somewhere. π
Congrats Reggie–you deserve it.
I’m on the way over to look.
Thanks, Slamdunk. Hope you enjoyed the articles too.
Congratulations Reggie – you should be thrilled!
Oooh, I am! I am!
I must actually still post the links to the other articles of mine that have appeared on the Res Force Div website.
And a couple of my articles have also appeared in the Reserve Force Volunteer – the summer edition of 2010, and the winter edition of 2011. I just haven’t gotten around to posting them here yet. π
It’s an AWESOME feeling to see one’s name in print, isn’t it?
Congratulations, Reggie. You make a lot of work writing about many items around you in SA, and you deserve this π
Thank you very much, Truels!
Congrats Reggie – you’re a great blogger, we all know that, & now the rest of the world also knows!
Shucks, Alison, now I’m blushing…
It’s the highest form of praise when the people you wrote about liked your posts so much, they used it in their publications. I call that a WOW. Congratulations Reggie.
In that case, I am *beaming* from ear to ear – π
