Spring is definitely springing!

You may remember that, a month ago, our Rhus tree in the back garden was pruned very heavily. We’d been keeping a watchful eye out for new shoots, but nothing seemed to be happening, and I was starting to wonder whether we might perhaps have killed it.

However, a few days ago, pretty much on the 1st of September, which is, after all, the official start of Spring, we noticed that little green shoots were indeed starting to appear around the tops of the branches.

And our plane tree on the verge outside, which has been completely barren, leafless and seemingly lifeless throughout the winter, has also suddenly started to show signs of coming alive.

Look! Isn’t this just incredible?!

I love spring!

  1. 1st of September is the first autumn day here, and the weather in this season CAN still be nice, but it is getting darker very fast, so we know it is soon getting COLD 😦 – I might consider being a Southafrican for the next months??? Anyway – it’s nice to see the spring in the lovely pictures here in your post 🙂

    • Hi Truels, you are definitely welcome to be an honourary South African until it is spring again in Denmark! 🙂 But you know, the autumn and winter in your country also has a beauty quite of its own, and I really enjoy looking at your photos of the changing seasons.

I'd love to hear your views
