Autumn leaves

‘Tis that time of year when we have days and nights of damp fog and chilly drizzle alternating with days of crystal-blue skies and autumn-brisk sunshine.

It’s also that time of year when the leaves of our big, much-loved plane tree are turning from bright cheerful green to hues of orange-brown and russet.

I love how the light of the sun shines on and through the leaves, and how the tree seems to be shivering in the bone-chilling breeze.

The dancing leaves seem to be aglow with a fire from deep within.
